As a Companion Support Worker at DLC Care, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals through regular visits, meaningful interaction, and emotional reassurance. This is a non-medical companionship role, focused on providing social and emotional support to help individuals feel connected, valued, and less alone. Your work will centre on presence, patience, and genuine human connection creating a positive impact in someone’s everyday life.

Responsibilities include

Providing friendly companionship and engaging in meaningful conversations.

Visiting individuals in their homes and creating a comfortable, supportive environment

Going with individuals on walks, shopping trips, appointments, and community outings

Supporting hobbies, interests, and daily routines

Encouraging independence while offering right support

Helping reduce loneliness and social isolation

Building a trusting, respectful, and professional relationships
